One Human Family Since 2002, World Refugee Day Chicago (WRDC) has commemorated World Refugee Day by organizing events, workshops, conferences, lunches, street parades, downtown rallies, guest speakers, as well as diverse multicultural performances by members of the Chicago refugee community. WRD Chicago is organized by volunteers, refugee advocates, and staff from various organizations focused on welcoming and serving refugees. |

2025 Soccer Tournament Champions: Invincible United
The theme for World Refugee Day 2025 was "Community as a Superpower". This theme emphasizes the power of communities to support and welcome refugees, highlighting their contributions and the vital role they play in fostering inclusive societies. The 2026 Chicago community celebration was made possible by support from individuals, event partners, and The Reva and David Logan Foundation.
*All organizations tabling at the event must bring their own tables and chairs!
